I've often heard that people want to know more about me than just the Shaklee part, so here's some fun facts about me:
I've lived in Brevard County in Florida since 1991, and I am currently in sunny Melbourne - only about 45 minutes to an hour south of the Space Center at Cape Canaveral. I grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida - where I would repeatedly and easily burn from the sun bouncing off the crystal white sand. The heat in my current location has helped me learn as an adult to stay indoors more during the time of day that burns me the quickest. ~grin~
I enjoy both mountains and beaches - each has their own special features and soothing nature effects. Actually, I enjoy a lot of nature - not the mosquitos or ants or wasps (or really **any** type of "bug" ~lol~), although I recognize that they all have their place in our planet's eco-system. I love laughing at the squirrels and birds and they go about their daily lives - watching them truly helps ease the stress and tension that otherwise gets focused on.
My favorite indoor activites:
reading (almost any fiction genre)
crafts of different types - my favorite needlepoint method is cross-stitch
puzzles - jigsaw, logic, word, find, difference
cooking - okay, baking is really my favorite type of cooking. But I also like putting ingredients together in different ways to stave off food boredom
My favorite outdoor activites:
sitting in a park watching the wildlife or pets
gardening - my biggest challenge right now is determining which herbs and veggies I can adequately grow in elevated containers to make them easier to reach
tennis - it's been a while since I actually got on the court, but there is nothing more fun than whopping that tennis ball and making it drop hard into the opponent's area ~lol~
volleyball - sure miss those super fun summer volleyball leagues when I was growing up
I studied Spanish from 9th grade (still jr high when I grew up) through college. I also studied Russian while in college. With more years of practice for the Spanish language, I can still speak and read it more easily than I can the Russian language - especially since I didn't keep practicing either language once my work career veered into computers back in 1991.
Favorite colors - Purple is my absolute favorite; Green is a solid second
